THE MEDIUM CHANGES, BUT THE HUMAN EXPERIENCE DOESN'T.
Whether it's designing something physical, tangible, or on a screen, it's all the same to me because every design lives in a human's hands, minds, and perception.
With a degree from the University of California, San Diego, in cognitive science and sociology with a focus on human-computer interaction, I’ve spent over seven years designing social platforms, enterprise tools, and accessibility systems. Across these contexts, my work has focused on questions of understanding, expression, and how people make sense of the systems around them.I approach design by paying close attention to how people already organize meaning through language, behavior, and habit, and by shaping systems that align with that internal logic rather than forcing a new one.My years of creating art have been a parallel influence on how I approach design. Creating art taught me to trust nuance, notice what’s subtle, and work from meaning rather than surface aesthetics.Where art explores my own inner world, design invites me into the inner worlds of others. It asks me to listen closely, honor difference, and shape systems that reflect how people actually think, act, and make sense of the environments around them.
